David Johnston

David Johnston has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, with a focus on software development and support. David was the Lead, Integration Services at Fraser Health Authority starting in 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Providence Health Care as a Business Analyst from 2016 to 2022, where they were responsible for policy and procedure development, analyzing business processes, and providing solutions.

Before joining Providence Health Care, David worked as a Software Development and Support Contractor at Yukon Health and Social Services from 2008 to 2020. David also owned Topmark Systems, where they served as the Owner and Chief Software Developer from 1990 to 2020.

Additionally, David worked as a Software Development and Support Contractor at Northern Health - BC from 2008 to 2017, and at Vancouver Coastal Health from 2000 to 2012. At Vancouver Coastal Health, they also served as a Software Development Manager from 2000 to 2008.

Prior to that, David worked as a Senior Systems Analyst at North Shore Health Region from 1996 to 2000, and as a Database Administrator at Lions Gate Hospital from 1992 to 1995. David also held the role of Programmer/Analyst at Lions Gate Hospital from 1990 to 1991.

David Johnston attended the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) from 1987 to 1989, where they pursued a Diploma in Computer Systems Technology.
