Shannon Boyd

Shannon Boyd has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2008, Shannon worked as the General Manager for The Lonely Road Foundation, a South African development charity focused on improving the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children. In 2010, Shannon founded Shannon Boyd Consulting, where they worked as a Nutrition Consultant. Shannon also worked as a Health Communications & Marketing Consultant for Ophea, a provincial subject association for Health and Physical Education.

Shannon then transitioned into the healthcare industry, working as the VP of Clinic Operations & Communications for iMedicine Canada and as the Senior Communications Specialist at The Hospital for Sick Children. Shannon also served as the Director for The Toronto Clinic from 2011 to 2014.

In more recent years, Shannon worked as a Consultant for Northern Counselling & Therapeutic Services, specializing in contract management and program development. Shannon also held roles as an Associate at Healthtech Consultants and Communications & Engagement Lead at Fraser Health Authority.

Shannon Boyd has a diverse education history. Shannon obtained a Master of Public Health degree with a specialization in Maternal & Child Health from the University of the Witwatersrand in 2014. Prior to that, in 2010, they earned a Holistic Nutrition Diploma from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition and became a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (RHN). Shannon also holds a Public Relations Post-Graduate Certificate from Humber College, which they completed in 2002. Shannon's undergraduate education includes a Hons B.A. degree in Sociology from McMaster University, which they completed in 2001.
