Althea Brown

Althea Brown is an experienced educator specializing in special education, currently serving as the Special Education Lead at Frayser Community Schools since February 2023. With a strong background in special education, Althea has held various roles, including Special Education Chair and Teacher at Shelby County Schools, and SPED/RTI Coordinator at Star Academy. Althea's involvement extends beyond the classroom as a long-standing member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated since June 1982. Althea holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership and Administration from Tennessee State University and a Certificate in Educational Leadership and Administration from Arkansas State University, along with a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and Teaching from Grand Canyon University.
