Greg Ortego has a diverse work experience in project and construction management roles. Greg Ortego obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Construction Management and Business Administration from Louisiana State University, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. Prior to attending Louisiana State University, Greg Ortego attended the University of Central Florida from 2002 to 2004, where they pursued a Liberal Arts and Sciences and General Studies and Humanities program. Greg Ortego completed their high school education at Mandeville High School, graduating with a High School Diploma in 2002.

In addition to their formal education, Greg Ortego has obtained several certifications. Greg completed the Insider Threat Awareness course at the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) in October 2022. In April 2021, they obtained certifications in project management from Procore Technologies, including Project Manager: Preconstruction at General Contractor, Project Manager: Core Tools, Project Manager: Financial Management at General Contractor, Project Manager: Quality & Safety, and Project Manager: Resource Management. In April 2020, Greg Ortego received a Project Manager certification from Procore Technologies. Furthermore, they obtained a Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management Essentials certification from Evans Technology, Inc. in November 2016. In September 2010, they completed the OSHA 30 Hour training with the OSHA Safety Training Institute. Recently, Greg Ortego acquired certifications, including Construction Quality Management for Contractors (CQM Certificate) from the US Army Corps of Engineers, Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association, and LEED GA Trainee from the US Green Building Council - St. Louis Regional Chapter. Greg has also pursued Project Management Professional Trainee certification from the Project Management Institute.
