Fred Hutch
Alexander Zevin is an accomplished professional in the field of genomics and molecular microbiology. Currently serving as the Director of Genomics at Fred Hutch since December 2022, Alexander oversees a range of end-to-end genomics services, including whole genome sequencing and single-cell analyses. Prior experience includes roles as Principal Scientist at Invitae, Scientist III at ArcherDX, Microbiologist at InBios International, and Senior Fellow at the University of Washington, where research focused on the effects of HIV on the gut microbiome and development of microbiome-based therapeutics. Alexander earned a Ph.D. in Biological Design with a focus on molecular microbiology from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Colorado State University.
