Andres Palacio

Andres Palacio, CIA, is an accomplished audit and analytics leader with extensive experience in financial model risk and data analytics. Currently serving as Vice President, Assistant General Auditor, and Head of Analytics at Freddie Mac since June 2013, Andres oversees multiple audit teams focused on Consumer Credit, Counterparty Risk, and Third Party Risk, while also leading the Audit Analytics team to enhance audit processes through automation and advanced analytics. Previous roles include Vice President & Assistant General Auditor for Models and Analytics and Senior Director of Models & Data Analytics at Freddie Mac, along with managerial positions at PwC and FI Consulting. Andres holds degrees from notable institutions including Harvard Business Analytics Program, The London School of Economics, and The Johns Hopkins University, and has a solid foundation in statistical modeling and economic research from earlier positions at the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Inter-American Development Bank.
