Allison Charles

Allison (Allie) Charles is an experienced librarian and supervisor, currently serving as a Librarian/Shelving Supervisor at Frederick County Public Libraries since May 2023, following the role of Library Technician. Previous experience includes working as a Nonfiction Buyer at Anythink Libraries from January 2020 to December 2022 and holding dual roles as Reader Services Librarian and Adult Services Librarian at Cecil County Public Library between August 2015 and January 2020. Additionally, Allison was the Editor-in-Chief at Dickinson Review from September 2013 to May 2014, where significant contributions were made to reconstruct the publication process and aesthetic of the literary journal. Educational achievements include a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Dickinson College, complemented by a Certificate of Publishing from the University of Denver Publishing Institute and training in Tech Project Management from the University of Denver.
