Marlies K.

Marlies K. is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management, advocacy, and research, particularly within the fields of media collaboration, youth activism, and public health. Currently serving as a Project Officer in the Asia team at Free Press Unlimited since May 2022, Marlies focuses on initiatives in Bangladesh that enhance media-CSO collaboration, organizational capacity-building, gender inclusion, and digital security training. Previous roles include Corporate Assistant at Alert Fund for Youth, Board Member for international youth initiatives, and various internships in research and policy advocacy related to press freedom and sexual and reproductive health. Marlies holds a Master of Science in Medical Anthropology and Sociology from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from University College Utrecht.
