Manisha Mirchandani

Research Director, Bloomberg Cities Insights Unit at Freedman Consulting, LLC

Manisha Mirchandani has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Manisha began their career as an Assistant Editor at South China Media Group in 2002. Manisha then worked as a Senior Researcher at Informa Telecoms & Media from 2004 to 2006.

In 2007, Manisha joined The Economist as a Regional Manager, Programmes and Government Relations, Asia-Pacific, where they developed programs and managed high-level participants for events in various countries.

From 2009 to 2013, they worked at The Economist Intelligence Unit (The EIU) as a Research Manager and Senior Analyst. Manisha led teams in delivering policy research programs and specialized in US and global policy and economics.

Manisha then joined the Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society as a Project Director from 2015 to 2016, leading a study on high-performing nonprofits and advising donors on philanthropy-related policy developments in Asia.

Manisha worked at FTI Consulting as a Research Director in 2016 and established a market and policy advisory service, providing analytical support to senior leadership.

From 2019 to 2021, Manisha served as the Director of Strategy (Research) at Long Dash, a creative consultancy, where they led engagements and implemented communication and messaging strategies for nonprofits and businesses.

Currently, Manisha is working as a Research Director at Freedman Consulting, LLC, specifically at Bloomberg Cities, since 2021.

Throughout their career, Manisha has demonstrated expertise in research, policy analysis, strategic planning, and advisory roles, working with a wide range of clients and organizations.

Manisha Mirchandani holds a Master of Science degree with Merit from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), which they obtained from 2003 to 2004. Manisha'sfield of study during this period was Development Management. Manisha also completed a Bachelor of Arts Honours degree (First Class) in Politics and Communications from the University of Liverpool, from 1999 to 2002.

Furthermore, Manisha Mirchandani pursued a Master's Degree in Creative Writing, with a specialization in Creative Non-Fiction, from The University of Hong Kong. Manisha completed their degree in this field from 2015 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Manisha Mirchandani obtained a certification from the University of California, Berkeley. Manisha received an edX Verified Certificate for Data Science: Computational Thinking with Python in October 2021.
