Marcus Ransom

Marcus Ransom is currently serving as a Business & Human Rights Intern at Verizon, collaborating with the Director of ESG and the Global Head of Business & Human Rights since September 2024, as part of Georgetown Law's Business & Human Rights Practicum. Ransom has been a Project Manager at Freedman Consulting, LLC since September 2019, where the focus is on innovative solutions for social good. Additional experience includes roles such as Senior Associate and Research Associate at Covington & Burling LLP during the summer of 2024, a Legal Intern at the U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division in 2023, and a Student Attorney at the Racial Equity in Education Law & Policy Clinic in 2022. Previous positions also include roles as a Legislative and Public Policy Summer Clerk at Arnold & Porter and various internships in public policy and development. Marcus Ransom is pursuing a Doctor of Law (JD) degree at Georgetown University Law Center and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Emory University.
