David Hough

David Hough has decades of experience in the telecommunications industry. David is currently working as the Network Operations Director at Freedom Fibre. Prior to this, they served as the Technology and Security Director at Upp Next Level Broadband at Upp. David also worked at TalkTalk as part of their Network Strategy and Innovation team.

Before joining TalkTalk, David held multiple roles at KCOM, including Head of Architecture and Design at TSO. David was also Head of Transformation and Delivery, TSO at KCOM.

Earlier in their career, David worked as the Technical Director Access - UK and Ireland at ECI Telecom and held several positions at Ericsson, including Principle NGA Technical Consultant and Broadband System Solutions Director.

David'sexperience extends to Ericsson UK, where they worked as the Head of Broadband Evolution and the Head of Customer Engineering - Access and Switching. David also held senior management positions at Marconi Communications, serving as the Senior Customer Engineering Manager and the Network Design Manager in the Access and Switching division.

Before entering the telecommunications industry, David worked as the Business Provisioning Manager at Telewest and as a Project Manager at Norweb Comms.

Throughout their career, David has demonstrated their expertise in network operations, technology and security, network strategy and innovation, architecture and design, transformation and delivery, technical consulting, and customer engineering.

David Hough attended the University of Central Lancashire from 1990 to 1993, where they pursued a BSc Combined Hons degree in Computing and Electronics.
