Thomas Leary

Thomas Leary has extensive experience in grant management and community development. Currently serving as a Grants Associate at Freedom House since July 2018, Thomas oversees financial reporting and compliance for funded grants. Previously, as a self-employed consultant from November 2017 to June 2018, Thomas facilitated workshops to enhance civic engagement among community leaders. In a short tenure as a Disaster Response Volunteer for the Red Cross in September-October 2017, Thomas provided essential relief supplies and conducted community assessments following Hurricane Maria. Thomas's experience also includes a three-year role with the Peace Corps as a Sustainable Community Development Business Advisor, where efforts focused on collaboration with various organizations to improve community infrastructure and economic opportunities. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from the University of New Hampshire, awarded in 1993.
