Karen Romero

Karen Romero is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in training and social services. Currently serving as the Senior Training Institute Director at Freedom Network USA since February 2018, Karen has previously held positions including Survivor Services and Training Manager at Polaris from January 2016 to December 2017, and Social Services Director at Ayuda from December 2014 to January 2016. Other roles include Educational Outreach Research Assistant at the Library of Congress and Director of the Women in Jeopardy Program at YWCA Utah. Karen began the career as an Emergency Services Specialist at American Red Cross and also worked as a Therapist at Rape Recovery Center Utah. Educational qualifications include a Certificate in Social Enterprise from American University and a Master of Education in Educational Psychology from the University of Utah, where Karen also completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
