Yontao Lu

Yontao Lu has over 15 years of work experience in the field of bioinformatics and data science. Yontao is currently serving as the Director of Clinical Informatics & Data Science at Freenome since July 2021. Prior to that, they worked at BD as a Staff Scientist II from April 2019 to July 2021. Yontao also held the position of Director of Bioinformatics at AccuraGen from June 2016 to April 2019. Before that, they worked at Affymetrix as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist II for almost 9 years, where they initiated and implemented genotyping data analysis pipelines and managed a team. Yontao started their career as a consultant at Genomic Health from July 2006 to August 2007.

Yontao Lu obtained a Ph. D in computer science, with a focus on computational biology, from the University of California, Santa Cruz, completing the program from 2001 to 2007.
