Laura Whaling has a diverse work experience in the media and communications field. Laura began their career as a Communications Intern at Triangle Land Conservancy, where they assisted in writing and editing articles and conducted interviews. Laura then worked as a Public Relations Intern at MoKi Media, where they pitched article ideas and drafted press releases. Laura also had a role as a Digital Communications Intern at (To) Where Matters, where they produced a promotional video and developed marketing strategies. Laura gained further experience as a Production Assistant at The Bridge On TV, aiding in the launch of a television show and creating graphics. Laura later joined Planet Forward at GW as a Digital Media Producer, producing social media and promotional videos and writing scripts. Laura then worked at Interface Media Group as an Assistant Editor for a brief period. Currently, Laura is employed at Freethink, initially starting as an Assistant Editor before being promoted to Associate Video Editor and eventually Video Editor.
Laura Whaling attended The George Washington University from 2014 to 2018, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication.
