Nate Cook

Nate Cook is a seasoned scientist currently serving as a Senior Scientist at FreeThink Technologies, Inc. since February 2024. Prior to this role, Nate held the position of Principal Scientist at Pfizer from December 2022 to January 2024 and worked as an Instrumentation Specialist at Williams College from July 2016 to May 2023, where oversight of shared research instrumentation in the Chemistry department was a primary responsibility. Nate's experience also includes a significant research focus at the Max Planck Institute for Biophysical Chemistry as an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Fellow, developing microscopy tools to study protein aggregation related to neurodegenerative diseases. Nate earned a PhD in Chemistry from Rice University in 2014, where research centered on protein aggregate formation, following a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Colorado State University in 2005. Earlier professional experience includes teaching introductory science courses and curriculum development for AP chemistry at Houston ISD.
