Katrina Godsey

Katrina Godsey SHRM-CP has extensive experience in human resources, starting with their current position as Director HR at FreeWave Technologies since October 2022. In their previous role as Sr. HR/People Operations Manager at the same company since May 2019, they successfully led the transformation of HR operations by implementing a new HRIS system.

Prior to FreeWave Technologies, Katrina worked at Seagull Scientific from July 2014 to August 2018. During their time there, they served as a Senior HR Generalist, responsible for operationalizing the HR function within an international software technology firm. Katrina also held the role of Senior Payroll HR Specialist, managing all front-facing HR services and employee interaction.

In 2014, Katrina worked as a Self Employed Contract Recruiter, providing consultative recruiting services for multiple small technology companies and a healthcare treatment center. Katrina was able to successfully fill 20 junior to senior lead roles with well-qualified candidates and created screening and interview templates.

Additionally, Katrina has entrepreneurial experience as the owner of Last Chance Espresso, Inc. from 2007 to 2013. Katrina turned an existing kiosk into a successful boutique roaster, managing all aspects of the business including HR, marketing, and menu design.

Earlier in their career, Katrina worked as a Contract Bookkeeper at Optimum Energy in 2008-2009 and as an HR/Operations Guru at Synapse Product Development from 2005 to 2007. Katrina also gained experience as an Office Administrator at GoTech from 2004 to 2005.

Overall, Katrina Godsey SHRM-CP has a breadth of experience in various HR roles, including leadership positions, operationalization of HR functions, recruiting, and entrepreneurship.

Katrina Godsey SHRM-CP earned a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, General from Portland State University. Katrina completed their degree between 2002 and 2004. In 2018, they obtained their SHRM-CP certification from the institution SHRM.
