Tamara Mecham

Tamara Mecham is the current VP of HR and Talent at FreeWire Technologies. Tamara has over 12 years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on leadership development, talent acquisition, and change management.

Tamara started their career at Sartorius in July 2008 as Head of Human Resources for the Americas. In this role, they were responsible for leading the HR team for 1750+ employees in Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the United States. Tamara was promoted to Regional Head of Americas HR in 2013 and again in 2017.

During their time at Sartorius, Tamara led several integration projects for M&A and built a scalable talent acquisition and onboarding structure that grew the US workforce to 1100+ by 2020. Tamara also facilitated and co-created a Leadership Development Program to build a high-performance, accountability-based culture. As a result of Tamara's efforts, employee referrals increased 5x between 2014-2018 and internal promotions increased by 20%.

Tamara's key achievements include reducing the time to fill by 25% (from 100+ to 75 days) from 2014-2018 and reducing staffing agency dependency by ≥40%. Tamara has also been successful in decreasing the overall cost per hire by 15%.

Tamara Mecham has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from John F. Kennedy University, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Management from Saint Mary's College of California, and an Executive Certificate in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University. Tamara is also certified as an Insights in Certified Insights Practitioner and as a Professional of Human Resources (PHR) from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI.

Tamara Mecham reports to Arcady Sosinov, CEO. They are on a team with Michael Beer - CFO, Ethan Sprague - VP, Sales & Marketing, and Rich Steele - Chief Engineer.
