Rod Sinks currently serves as a Member of the Board of Trustees for the Fremont Union High School District, a position held since May 2023. Previously, Sinks held prominent roles at the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, including Chair of the Board of Directors and various committee memberships. Sinks contributed to the establishment of Silicon Valley Clean Energy and served as a board member and chair. Sinks also participated in the VTA as a chair and member of the Policy Advisory Committee and was a City Council Member, Vice Mayor, and Mayor for the City of Cupertino. Additional leadership experience includes serving on the Executive Board of the Cities Association of Santa Clara County and as Scoutmaster for BSA Troop 37. Sinks has a robust engineering background, with senior roles in companies such as Omneon, Echelon, and ROLM, and holds degrees in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Stanford University and Grinnell College.
