Cornelis van Ophem

Cornelis ("Kees") Van Ophem is a seasoned legal executive with extensive experience across various sectors, primarily in legal and compliance roles. Currently serving as Chairman Of The Supervisory Board at IPQuants AG and as a Member Of The Supervisory Board at Unicyte AG, Kees also holds the position of Executive Vice President and Global General Counsel at Fresenius Medical Care. Previous roles include General Counsel at Leica Group and Vice President of Legal and Compliance International at Medtronic, among others. Kees is known for successfully leading legal teams in multinational environments and has co-founded telecommunications companies and operated as General Counsel in multiple organizations. Kees holds advanced degrees from prestigious institutions, including an LL.M from New York University School of Law and a JD from the University of Amsterdam, supplemented by training in sports instruction and political science.
