Effie D. Silva

Effie D. Silva serves as the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Fresh Del Monte Produce since April 2022, leading a global legal organization and overseeing a wide range of legal affairs including corporate governance and compliance. In addition, Silva is a Board Member of America On Tech, an organization focused on advancing technology skills among underrepresented students. Previous roles include Global Ethics and Compliance Leader at Cargill, Vice President & Associate General Counsel at Tyson Foods, and Partner positions at Duane Morris LLP and McDermott Will & Emery. Silva began a legal career as a Judicial Law Clerk and Associate following extensive education, including a J.D. from the University of Florida, a B.A. from Wellesley College, a Corporate Board Certificate from Harvard Business School, and further studies at INSEAD.
