Umanand Iyappan

Umanand Iyappan has extensive experience in engineering leadership, currently serving as Vice President of Engineering at Freshworks since September 2017, after progressing from Senior Director of Engineering and Director of Engineering roles within the same company. Prior to Freshworks, Umanand held the position of Director of Engineering at Zarget for a brief period in early 2017. Umanand’s career began at Zoho Corporation in February 2001, where roles included Product Manager for ManageEngine IT360, an integrated IT management product, and Software Engineer, focusing on customizing the Web NMS Network Management Platform. Umanand holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Engineering College, completed in 2000.
