Tony Viramontes

Tony Viramontes has extensive work experience in the medical industry, holding various leadership positions. Tony is currently the General Manager at Freudenberg Medical, where they oversee all functions and is responsible for achieving annual operating plan targets. Previously, they served as the Sr. Director of Engineering-Operations at Shockwave Medical, Inc., where they led strategic and technical roles in setting goals, hiring engineers, and developing new products. Tony also worked as the General Manager at Viant Medical, overseeing financials and developing strategic plans. Before that, they served as the Plant Manager at Vesta, a Lubrizol Company, and the Director of Manufacturing Operations at Creganna Medical. Tony has experience in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, cost savings, and exceeding revenue targets. Tony Viramontes has a diverse education history with various degrees and certifications. In 1997-1999, they attended UC San Diego and obtained a degree in Engineering Management. During this time, they studied operations, finance, and process improvements. Tony then pursued a degree in Chemical Engineering at the National Polytechnic Institute (ESIQIE). Tony continued their education by earning an MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2003-2005, specializing in financial and statistics. In 2013, they enrolled in the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business and completed the Professional Engineering Program, focusing on business for technical managers.
