Jonathan Kellam

Director Of Philanthropy at Friends of the Earth U.S.

Jonathan Kellam has extensive experience in fundraising and nonprofit management. Jonathan currently serves as the Director of Philanthropy for Friends of the Earth U.S., a position they have held since November 2022. Prior to this, they were the Director of Individual Philanthropy at Food & Water Watch from June 2021 to November 2022. Jonathan has also worked at Friends of the Earth U.S. as a Senior Major Gifts Officer, where they successfully cultivated and solicited large donations, managed a portfolio of mid-level donors, and significantly increased major donor revenue. Before their work in the nonprofit sector, Jonathan served in the Army National Guard as an Infantry Team Leader, demonstrating strong leadership skills and receiving recognition as a national Soldier of the Year competitor.

Jonathan Kellam earned an Associate of Arts degree from Eastern Florida State College between 2009 and 2011. Jonathan then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science at the University of Central Florida from 2011 to 2013. Subsequently, they completed their education by obtaining a Master of Professional Studies degree in Political Management from The George Washington University from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, Jonathan obtained the certification of Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) from CFRE International in November 2017.
