Michelle Perez

Michelle Perez has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources. Michelle is currently working at Friends of the Earth U.S. as the People and Culture Director, a role they assumed in May 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of People and Culture Senior Manager at the same company from January 2022 to May 2022.

Before joining Friends of the Earth U.S., Michelle worked at Defenders of Wildlife as an Employee Engagement Specialist from May 2021 to January 2022. Michelle also served as a Recruiting and Training Manager at Defenders of Wildlife from November 2020 to May 2021.

Michelle's earlier experience includes working as a Human Resources Analyst at Conejo Valley Unified School District from November 2016 to July 2020. Michelle also worked at AdventHealth, where they held multiple roles including Talent Acquisition/Recruiter from November 2014 to October 2016, and Administrative Support from August 2012 to October 2014.

Michelle Perez, SHRM-CP, holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration from Capella University (2015-2016). Michelle also completed a Bachelor's degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Central Florida (2013-2014) and an Associate of Arts (A.A.) from Seminole State College of Florida (2011-2012). Additionally, Michelle obtained certifications as an MBTI Certified Practitioner from The Myers-Briggs Company (2020), an AMA Certified Professional in Management from the American Management Association (2020), and the SHRM-CP designation from SHRM (2017).
