Terrance Lamaur Bankston

Senior Ports Campaigner at Friends of the Earth U.S.

Terrance L. Bankston serves as an Advisory Board Member for the Coastal Equity and Resilience (CEAR) Hub and a member of the Collaborative Stakeholder Advisory Panel for the Megalopolitan Coastal Transformation Hub (MACH) at the National Science Foundation. Bankston is an Environmental Justice Advisory Council Member for the State of New Jersey and holds the position of Senior Ports and Freight Campaigner at Friends of the Earth U.S. Additionally, Bankston represents New Jersey on the New York-New Jersey Harbor & Estuary Program (HEP) Management Committee. As the Sole Proprietor of Take The Plunge and a Project Consultant focusing on climate resiliency with Newark DIG, Bankston also chairs Parent University in New Jersey, which aims to empower parents in the public school system. Furthermore, Bankston founded the Hip Hop Press Conference in Jersey to bridge government and hip-hop culture, and has previous experience as an Environmental Justice Organizer at Clean Water Action. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Administrative Sciences from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Bloomfield College.
