Boon Breyne is a skilled professional with a diverse background in engineering and environmental activism. Currently serving as a Beyond Growth Campaigner at Friends of the Earth Europe since February 2023, Boon focuses on challenging capitalist growth narratives and advocating for degrowth principles. Previous experience includes roles as a Climate Justice Activist for Fridays For Future International, where Boon organized events and engaged in public speaking, and as an Application Engineer at Traxial and its subsidiary Magnax, providing training and technical support in electric vehicle design. Boon also held engineering positions with Magna International and TREMEC, specializing in control calibration for dual-clutch transmissions. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from KU Leuven, along with additional studies at Technische Universität Graz.
