Laura Monico

Laura Monico serves as the Director of Clinical Research and Strategy at Pelago, a virtual clinic focused on substance use management, since September 2022. Prior to this role, Laura has been with Friends Research Institute, Inc. since January 2013, progressing from Research Associate to Research Scientist and leading various projects that highlighted the effectiveness of contingency management and peer recovery coaching in substance use treatment. Laura's earlier experience includes managing research teams as an Assistant Research Scientist and completing significant analyses as a Consultant. Laura holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Political Science from Shepherd University, as well as both a Master of Arts and a Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology from the University of Delaware.
