Emrah Çelik has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. emrah started their career at Netas in 2008 as a Software Engineer, where they developed new features and fixed bugs on a VoIP solution. emrah then moved on to Turkish Airlines in 2010, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer, developing new features and fixing bugs on the ticketing and reservation system.

In 2011, Çelik joined Ardela Technologies as a Senior Software Engineer and later became a Lead Developer & Team Leader. During their time there, they developed various applications, including B2B, B2C, e-commerce, m-commerce, and HR portals, using technologies such as JSF, ASP.NET, MS SQL Server, and Oracle DB. emrah also worked closely with customers during the analysis phase.

Çelik then joined Evatro in 2014 as a Principal Software Engineer and continued their responsibilities from Ardela. In 2015, they returned to NetSuite as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead, where they developed additional functionality on SuitePeople using Java, Oracle, and Javascript. emrah also guided the team on development practices and participated in architectural discussions.

In 2016, Çelik joined Friendsurance as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead, developing new functionality and 3rd party integrations using Java 8, Spring, Hibernate, and other technologies. emrah then moved to NetSuite again in 2017 as a Software Developer III and Technical Lead, before transitioning to the role of a Senior Developer in 2018.

Çelik joined Shopify in 2019 as a Senior Developer, working with Ruby on Rails, Node.js, TypeScript, React, and various other technologies. emrah was involved in both backend and frontend development across different Shopify products and systems.

Most recently, in 2023, Çelik joined Friendsurance as a Senior Backend Engineer.

Emrah Çelik obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, where they studied from 2003 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, they also hold certifications such as the Speaker Labs Talk Master Certification, obtained in October 2019, and the Agile Engineering certification, obtained in February 2016. The institution from which the Agile Engineering certification was obtained is unspecified.
