Mindy Furman

Chair, Science at FRISCH SCHOOL

Dr. Mindy Furman is Chair of Frisch’s Science department, teaching Bio and BioLab. She has a BS from the University of Maryland, an MAT in Biological Sciences from Montclair State University an M.S (Department of Microbiology and Immunology) from New York Medical College and a Ph.D (Department of Microbiology and Immunology) from New York Medical College. She has been an adjunct professor and a research fellow at New York Medical College and is a member of Who’s Who Among American Teachers, Teacher of Merit, Intel Science Search, New Jersey Science Teachers Association, National Biology Teachers Association and the New York Academy of Sciences. She is most excited about the research program at Frisch (partnered with Rutgers University) in the Waksman Student Scholar program, in which the students are doing research in molecular biology.
