Francois Nguyen

Francois Nguyen has a diverse and extensive work experience in the design field. Francois began their career in 2003 as an Industrial Designer at Pentagram Design, where they worked until 2007. Francois then joined Ammunition as a Senior Industrial Designer for a year before moving on to work at the California College of the Arts as a Professor in 2013.

In 2008, Nguyen started working at frog as a Principal Industrial Designer. Francois eventually became a Creative Director and later an Executive Design Director before leaving the company in 2015. During their time at frog, they also had a brief stint as a Creative Director at their subsidiary company, Radius Innovation & Development.

Following their departure from frog, Nguyen established their own company and worked as a Classical Guitarist and Composer. In 2016, they returned to frog as a Creative Director, and within a few months, they were promoted to the role of Head of Design. Francois then advanced to the position of Chief Design Officer for North America, where they managed and oversaw the design discipline across five studios. In 2023, they once again moved up in the company to become the Executive Design Lead.

Throughout their career, Nguyen has demonstrated strong leadership skills, contributed to the growth and development of various design disciplines, and successfully managed client relationships and large-scale programs.

Francois Nguyen received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Arts from Wesleyan University. Francois also attended San Jose State University, where they studied Industrial Design. Additionally, they attended Phillips Exeter Academy, but no specific field of study or degree was provided.
