MSc. Raúl Velázquez Alvarez

QA/QC (Software Tester) at Front10

MSc. Raúl Velázquez Alvarez has a wealth of experience in software quality assurance and control. MSc. Raúl began their career in 2008 as a QA/QC Manager and Professor at the Center of e-Government at the University of Informatics Sciences. Theirrole included training future computer scientists in the field of Software Quality Assurance and Control, Research abilities, and e-Commerce. MSc. Raúl also acted as a tutor of students doing their thesis computer projects in the Software Quality Assurance field. Additionally, they designed the Measurement and Analysis process of the university’s software development projects, based on the CMMI quality model.

In 2018, they moved to General Software Inc where they took on the role of FA/QA (Functional Analyst and Software Tester). Theirresponsibilities included participating in meetings with the client to gather information and business requirements, eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and validating the needs of the client, and modeling and describing the business process to be implemented.

Most recently, in 2019, they joined Front10 as a QA/QC (Software Tester). Theirduties included performing tests on dev, pre-pro, and prod environments and collecting the results, manual functional testing (integration and acceptance level), testing REST web services using the browser inspector, and designing testing on visual design elements such as fonts, colors, layout, imagery, and responsive design.

MSc. Raúl Velázquez Alvarez received their Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering from the University of Informatics Sciences in 2008. In 2015, they went on to pursue a Master of Science in Software Quality Management from the same university, which they completed in 2017.
