Mikayla Shanafelt has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Mikayla began their career as a Barista at Cutters Point Coffee, where they gained experience in customer service and training new employees.

After that, Mikayla transitioned into the field of science, starting as an Undergraduate Student at the University of the Pacific. Mikayla continued their education and worked as a Biological Sciences Masters Student at the university. During this time, they also took on the role of De Rosa Center Building Manager, showcasing their organizational and management skills.

Mikayla then joined Quantitative BioSciences, Inc. as a Laboratory Manager, where they demonstrated their expertise in overseeing laboratory operations. Mikayla later moved to Tenaya Therapeutics, where they served as a Research Associate I and Research Associate II, gaining hands-on experience in the biotechnology industry.

Currently, Mikayla is working at Frontier Medicines as a Senior Research Associate, responsible for conducting research and analysis in the laboratory. This role follows their previous position as a Research Associate II at the same company.
