Gino Smit has extensive work experience in the digital product management field. Gino started their career with an internship at L'Oréal, where they worked as an Assistant Product Manager for L'Oréal Professionnel. Gino then joined Vodafone as a Commercial Graduate before moving to VodafoneZiggo, where they took on various roles in digital product management, including Digital Product Owner for eCommerce and Head of Digital Products. During their time at VodafoneZiggo, Gino successfully led the implementation of product development roadmaps, introduced AB testing processes, and transformed the way of working in the service domain. Gino also worked as a Lead Product Manager for the My Vodafone app at Vodafone and as a Digital Commercial Programme Manager. Currently, they are serving as the Head of Product at Frontiers.
Gino Smit has a diverse education history. Gino obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Finance & Investments from the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University in 2015. Prior to that, they pursued another Master of Science (MSc) degree in Marketing Management from the same university in 2014. In 2013, Gino participated in an exchange program at the University of Cape Town, where they took courses in Marketing Research, Consumer Behaviour, and Advertising and People Management. Before their graduate studies, Gino completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Business Administration from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (VU Amsterdam) in 2013. Their pre-university education was completed at Jan van Egmond Lyceum, where they pursued a Pre-university education (VWO) from 2003 to 2009. Gino has also obtained certifications as a Professional Scrum Product Owner™ II (PSPO II) from Scrum.org and as a Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) from Xebia Group.
