About the Role: Liability Claims Adjuster

As a Liability Claims Adjuster, you’ll play a crucial role in investigating coverage, determining liability, and resolving third-party liability claims. Your expertise in state-specific insurance regulations, claims practices, and statutory requirements will be key in managing complex cases and mentoring less experienced adjusters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and verify facts of loss to analyze and confirm coverage.
  • Handle the entire claims process, from investigation to resolution, including communication with insured parties and external experts.
  • Establish and adjust reserves, ensuring accurate and timely claims management.
  • Draft and submit coverage correspondence, including Reservations of Rights and denials.
  • Attend mediations and apply advanced negotiation skills to resolve disputed claims.
  • Mentor less experienced adjusters and assist with training as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: A four-year college degree is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years’ experience handling complex liability claims.
  • Certifications: Maintain Florida 520 License; obtain Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia licenses if not currently held.
  • Skills:
    • Strong investigative and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
