Position Summary

The Product Analyst will be responsible for creating, updating, and implementing rate and rule manuals, underwriting guidelines, and policy coverage forms. This role involves maintaining competitive analysis, supporting operational departments with data analysis, and ensuring accuracy in form submissions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Development: Develop and revise product rate/rule manuals and forms, ensuring compliance with state product strategies and regulations.

  • Competitive Analysis: Conduct market analysis and maintain competitive profiles, including rates and guidelines of major competitors.

  • Data Analysis: Extract, validate, and analyze data to support operational departments. Analyze trends such as loss, cancellations, and new business production.

  • Documentation & Compliance: Manage policy forms, develop documentation for changes, and ensure all filings are accurate and well-documented.

  • Collaboration: Work with various stakeholders, including internal departments and external entities, to support new products and features.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Risk Management, Finance, Business, or Statistics required.

  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in the Property Casualty field preferred, with strong data analytics and interpretation skills.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, R, and excellent Excel skills. Experience with Guidewire is beneficial.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of insurance concepts, regulations, and industry standards. Ability to analyze data and make strategic recommendations.

  • Communication: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively.

Additional Information

  • Certificates: Completion of AINS, API Designation, CPCU, or equivalent insurance certification in Property and Casualty insurance required.

  • Physical Demands: Regularly required to sit, use hands to handle tasks, and talk or hear. Occasionally required to stand and walk.
