Anjani Desai began their professional career in 2017 as an Intern at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital. From 2019 to 2020, they served as a Community Service Medical Officer at the Gauteng Department of Health. In 2020, they worked as a General Practitioner at Activcare Midrand and as a Medical Officer at Doctors Nay Wells Hutton Piccolo Incorporated. During the same year, they also held the position of Research Medical Officer at Wits Health Consortium. In 2021, they became a Chevening Scholar at Chevening Awards. Currently, Anjani is working at FruitPunch AI as an AI for Good Engineer, contributing to the development of AI solutions for impactful organizations.
Anjani Desai's education history began in 2006 when they attended Parktown High School for Girls, where they earned their National Senior Certificate in 2010. Anjani then went on to pursue their undergraduate studies at the University of the Witwatersrand, from 2011 to 2016, where they obtained their MBBCh degree, which stands for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. In 2019, Anjani Desai completed a Diploma in HIV Management at The Colleges of Medicine of SA. Currently, in 2021, they are enrolled at UCL, pursuing an MSc in Health Data Science.
