Dan Miles has a diverse range of work experience in government and communications roles. Dan is currently serving as the Director of Corporate Communications at the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA). In this role, they oversee the development and implementation of corporate communications programs and initiatives, manages media relations and issues management, and develops stakeholder relations strategies.
Prior to their current position, Dan held various positions in the government sector. Dan served as the Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of the Premier of Ontario, where they oversaw the Premier's Strategic Communications team and played a key role in developing events and communications products. Dan also served as the Chief of Staff in the Office of the Minister of Finance, managing all aspects of the Minister's office and contributing to the development of important government documents.
Dan's previous experience includes roles in the Regional Municipality of York, where they worked as a Senior Special Advisor, and in the Government of Canada, where they served as the Director of Regional Affairs and Chief of Staff for different ministers. Dan also held positions in higher education institutions, including Director of Government and Community Relations at Trent University and Director of Communications at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.

Dan Miles has a BA in Sociology from Western University and a degree in Broadcast Journalism from Fanshawe College.

The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario (FSRA) is a new, independent regulatory agency created to improve consumer and pension plan beneficiary protections in Ontario. FSRA was established to replace the Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) and the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario (DICO).
