Ernest Arah has an extensive work experience in financial reporting and audit roles. Ernest started their career at Landover Company Limited as the Head of Internal Audit, where they developed audit manuals, ensured adherence to company policies, and conducted analytical reviews of audit exercises. Ernest then joined Fidelity Bank PLC and held various positions such as Branch Resident Auditor, where they enforced compliance with policies and procedures, and Ag. Head of Financial Reporting, where they oversaw the preparation of financial reports and managed audit exercises by regulatory bodies. Ernest also served as a Team Lead, Financial Reporting, and Financial Reporting Analyst, where they prepared various financial reports for regulatory agencies. Recently, Ernest Arah joined FSDH Merchant Bank as the Head of Financial Reporting, responsible for end-to-end financial reporting, compliance, and regulatory reporting.
Ernest Arah ACA, MBA completed their education as follows:
- Ernest earned a Senior Secondary School Certificate from Dennis Memorial Grammar School in the years 1987-1992.
- Ernest pursued a Higher National Diploma (H.N.D) in Accounting from the Institute of Management & Technology (IMT) from 1998-1999.
- Ernest furthered their education at Lagos State University, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Financial Management from 2004-2006.
In addition to their formal education, Ernest Arah also obtained certifications in Fixed Asset Management from ACCOUNTING & INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SERVICES (AIMS) in 2015 and the ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) designation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) Platform in 2008.
