Donte’ Person

Donte Parks is the founder of Getting the Nod, a career coaching and professional development firm specializing in support for tech professionals, leveraging over 20 years of experience primarily in the HR and people/culture sectors. Previously, Donte served as Vice President of People Engagement and Vice President of Culture at Substantial, a Seattle-based innovation studio, contributing to its growth and internal culture. Early in the career, Donte held various roles in media, including writing for Seattlest and The Stranger, as well as positions in tech at Microsoft Corp., where responsibilities included managing a significant disaster recovery plan and a large-scale server test lab. Donte holds a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia.
