Ken Johnston

Ken Johnston has over 20 years of work experience in various roles and industries. Ken is currently the VP and DG Business Unit Manager at FTC Solar, Inc since 2020. Prior to that, they worked at LONGi Solar as the Sr. Director of DG Segment, responsible for North American sales and overseeing a team in the US and Shanghai. Before that, Ken served as the Director of Product Management/Supply Chain Management at Clean Energy Associates, where they led the supply chain management program and developed new services for the market. Ken also worked as the Director of Product Management - Solar Modules at SunEdison, managing product development, branding, and marketing. Ken's earlier experience includes roles as Sr. Product Marketing Manager at Cypress Semiconductor, Strategic Product Manager at Xilinx, and Director of Marketing at ZiLOG, Inc.

Ken Johnston obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering from Washington State University, which they attended from 1990 to 1993. Ken later pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with an emphasis in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix, attending from 1999 to 2002. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications throughout their career, including Solution Selling from FTC Solar, Inc in 2022, and a Senn Delaney Culture Facilitator certificate from Heidrick & Struggles in 2019.
