Gel Flores

Gel Flores has a diverse work experience in the field of geology and geotechnics. Gel's most recent role is as a Principal Engineer at Fugro, starting in September 2021. Prior to Fugro, Gel worked at Remtech Europe as an Ambassador, starting in January 2021. Gel previously held positions at Aero 360 Solutions, Inc., serving as the Head of Department - Geology and Geotechnics from December 2020 to August 2021, as well as a Geologist/Geotechnical Supervisor from February 2019 to December 2020, and as a Geotechnical Engineer from August 2018 to February 2019. Before that, Gel worked at GHD as a Project Geologist from December 2017 to March 2021. Gel also gained experience at PHILSAGA MINING CORPORATION, working as a Geologist III from October 2016 to May 2017, and as a Geologist I from September 2012 to October 2016. Gel's earliest role was as a GIS/Database Geologist at Golden Harvest Global Corporation from October 2011 to May 2012.

Gel Flores completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Intelligent and Integrated Energy Systems at Delft University of Technology from 2023 to 2024. Gel also attended THNK School of Leadership in 2023 to participate in the Fugro Women in Leadership program. In 2017, Gel received a Postgraduate Certificate in Fundamentals of Project Management from the University of Adelaide. Gel's undergraduate education is a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Geology from the University of the Philippines Diliman, which was completed from 2008 to 2011. Additionally, Gel has obtained several certifications, including Certified Foundation Bid and Proposal Management from APMG International and Certified Sustainable Development Manager (CSDM™) from the Chartered Institute of Professional Certifications, both acquired in 2023. Gel also holds a GWO BST Sea Survival certification from Consolidated Training Systems, Inc., obtained in 2022, and is a Certified Geologist accredited by the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission since 2012.
