Maarten van Slobbe

Maarten Van Slobbe serves as the Regional IT Support Manager for Europe and Africa at Fugro, a position held since October 2008, where accountability includes IT service support, technical operations, and driving efficiency and effectiveness in line with global standards. Prior roles at Fugro include IT Manager NLD, Maritime Application Manager, and Manager of the CMS Department, overseeing the Star vessel management system and ensuring alignment with vessel management standards. Additionally, Maarten holds leadership roles in the StarIPS User Group, both as Chairman and Member, facilitating discussions on system functionality improvements among industry peers. Earlier experience includes working as a VMS Superintendent at P&O Nedlloyd. Educational qualifications include studies at Lloyd's Maritime Academy and STC-R.
