Antonio Alcaide Raya has extensive work experience in the field of reproductive sciences and laboratory management. Antonio is currently serving as a European Technical Applications Scientist at FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific since April 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of PGD Lab Director at REPROFIV since January 2013, where they were responsible for laboratory management, co-directing the IVF laboratory, and ensuring laboratory quality. From July 2019, Antonio worked as an IVF Laboratory Consultant and Senior Embryologist at Centro Hondureño de Reproducción, focusing on setting up and managing IVF units and providing services in preimplantation genetic testing (PGT). Antonio also served as a Member of the Directive Board at ASEBIR starting from November 2017. Antonio co-founded ASSACELL Biólogos S.L. in September 2013, where they worked as a Technical Director and was involved in the design and management of technical procedures, international consultancy, and implementation of new technologies. In addition, Antonio worked as an IVF Laboratory Consultant at AAFC in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, from December 2016 to July 2018. Antonio served as the IVF/PGD Lab Director at FIV CENTER from April 1998 to May 2014, overseeing the IVF and PGD laboratories and having responsibilities in the field of medical genetics. Antonio's earlier experience includes working as a Laboratory Director and Embryologist at FIV Madrid from November 1994 to March 1998.

Antonio Alcaide Raya obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, which they completed from 1988 to 1993. In 1996, they achieved certification as a Senior Clinical Embryologist from ASEBIR. Antonio later pursued further education and obtained an Expert on Medical Genetics degree from Universidad de Alcalá, with a focus on Human/Medical Genetics, from 1999 to 2000. In 2008 to 2009, they completed a Master's Degree in Developmental Biology and Embryology from the University of Valencia. Additionally, Antonio has acquired various certifications, including a COVID-19 Contact Tracing Certificate from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, obtained in July 2020, and certifications in Reproductive Medicine, such as the UNE 179007 (ReproFiv) and ISO 9001:2008 (ReproFiv), obtained in November 2014 and October 2014, respectively.
