Global FAS Manager - Life Sciences at FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific

Brian Posey has a diverse work experience spanning over 20 years. Brian currently works as the Global FAS Manager - Life Sciences at FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific, a position they have held since June 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Field Application Scientist - Bioproduction at the same company starting from May 2020.

Before joining FUJIFILM Irvine Scientific, Posey worked at Corning Incorporated for almost 9 years, starting in December 2011. During their time there, they held the role of Product Development Manager. In this role, they were responsible for leading the plant's efforts in integrating applications and technology, as well as serving as a member of the local Plant Leadership Team and the Media Business Development Team.

Posey's earlier experience includes working at Mediatech from September 2005 to December 2011. During this time, they held two different roles. Brian first worked as a QC Staff Scientist, where they collaborated with end users to develop Quality Control testing procedures for sterile cell culture media, buffers, and reagents. Brian later transitioned to the role of Development Manager, where they created and led a new department focused on expanding the product portfolio and driving process improvements.

Prior to Mediatech, Posey worked at Molecula, a start-up company, from September 2001 to September 2005. As a Research Scientist, they played a key role in developing new revenue streams and expanding the company's technology. Brian was involved in the design of custom antisense oligonucleotides, contributing to peer-reviewed publications that increased awareness of the company's technology.

Posey's earliest work experience can be traced back to their time as a PhD candidate and Graduate Student Researcher at Auburn University from July 2000 to August 2001. In this role, they conducted Ca2+ influx experiments using Arabidopsis as a model organism and worked on establishing and maintaining aequorin gene insertion in model plants.

Posey's career began with a role as an Undergraduate Laboratory Assistant at York College of Pennsylvania, where they assisted in genetics and biochemistry lab courses for three semesters.

Brian Posey pursued a PhD in Plant Cellular Biology as a candidate at Auburn University from 2000 to 2001. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at York College of Pennsylvania, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from 1996 to 2000. Additionally, they hold a certification in Managing Projects with Box from LinkedIn, which they obtained in July 2018.
