Piyush Joshi, Ph.D.

Piyush Joshi, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various scientific and research roles. Currently, Piyush is an Account Manager at FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics, a position started in January 2023. Previously, they worked as a Cell Culture Specialist at STEMCELL Technologies from December 2020 to January 2023.

Piyush has also held positions at reputable academic institutions. Piyush was a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Emory University from September 2020 to December 2021, where they focused on understanding the pathophysiology of Lesch-Nyhan disease using human induced pluripotent stem cells and derived neuronal models. Additionally, at Emory University, Piyush was an Emory SURE Fellow in June 2014.

During their time at Vanderbilt University, from August 2015 to August 2020, Piyush completed their Ph.D. in Neuroscience. Piyush worked as a PHD Candidate under the mentorship of Aaron Bowman, Ph.D. Piyush's research activities included early Ph.D. work and contributing to the Neuroscience Graduate Program.

Before pursuing their Ph.D., Piyush gained research experience as an undergraduate at The University of Georgia. Piyush served as a Regenerative Bioscience Center-Undergraduate Researcher from August 2012 to May 2015. Additionally, they worked as a Genetics Department-Undergraduate Researcher from February 2013 to August 2013. Prior to this, Piyush worked as a Lab Assistant at the Poultry Diagnostic Research Center at the University of Georgia from August 2011 to May 2012.

Piyush Joshi, Ph.D. has an extensive education history. Piyush began their educational career at Wheeler Magnet School, where they completed their High School degree from 2007 to 2011. Piyush then pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Genetics from The University of Georgia, graduating in 2015. Seeking further knowledge in their field, Piyush Joshi then attended Vanderbilt University from 2015 to 2020, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Neuroscience.

In addition to their formal education, Piyush Joshi has also obtained additional certifications. In August 2021, they completed the CSS Essential Training and HTML Essential Training programs from LinkedIn.
