Malfy Das

Malfy Das has a strong background in software engineering and research. They began their career as a Research Engineer Co-op at Syncrude Canada Ltd. in 2016. Following that, they worked as a Researcher at the University of Alberta and a Software Engineer at Fourien, a nanotechnology startup. In 2018, Malfy held positions as a Software Developer (Assistantship) at the Bindley Bioscience Center, a Research Associate at Syncrude Canada Ltd., and a Research Data Scientist Intern at Avoy, a travel agency startup.

Malfy later transitioned into the industry and worked as an Operations Research Scientist at Wayfair and Providence Health Care from 2019 to 2021. In 2021, they joined Kinta AI as an Algorithm Engineer. Currently, Malfy is working as a Software Engineer at Fulcrum, starting in 2023. They have been involved in various projects and have gained a diverse skill set in software engineering, operations research, and algorithm development.

Malfy Das pursued their education in a chronological order, starting with their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Alberta, which they completed from 2012 to 2017. In 2018, they then went on to pursue a Visiting Graduate Student program in Industrial Engineering at Purdue University. Later the same year, they enrolled at Cornell University and completed a Master's degree in Operations Research and Information Engineering from 2018 to 2019.
