Iyal Suresh has extensive work experience in the engineering field. In 2014, they worked as an intern at NASA Ames Research Center, where they focused on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) and explored the use of rapid prototyping and 3D printing in small aircraft. Iyal successfully constructed an aircraft and accomplished fully autonomous flight. The following year, they interned at Stinger Ghaffarian Technologies (SGT), where they built and tested camera payloads for various UAVs and implemented an RF time of flight based relative localization system in simulation. In 2016, Iyal worked as a Manufacturing Intern at Arconic, analyzing root causes of nonconformant aluminum collars across the manufacturing line and updating procedures and drawings. Iyal'sskills and experiences were further honed at Disney Research in 2018, where they served as a Research Associate. One of their main responsibilities was facilitating the technology transfer of a research prototype to an outside vendor. This involved designing, building, and testing new prototypes, as well as programming extended functionality. Currently, Iyal holds the position of Senior Mechanical Engineer at Fulfil, a role they assumed in October 2019.
Iyal Suresh obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from UCLA, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. Iyal then pursued a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering at Stanford University, from 2017 to 2019.
