Makala Knutson Lcsw

Makala Knutson, LCSW, currently serves as a Behavioral Health Clinician and Refugee Medical Case Manager at Full Circle Health since July 2018. Prior experience includes an MSW internship at Boise VA Medical Center's Outpatient Behavioral Health and roles as a Graduate Research Assistant and Field Education Graduate Assistant at Boise State University School of Social Work. Additional internships include work at the Family Medicine Residency of Idaho in refugee screening and at Heart 'n Home Hospice & Palliative Care, where outreach coordination was emphasized. Makala's foundational experience began at Idaho Youth Ranch, providing support to adolescents in crisis. A Fulbright Research Fellow in eSwatini contributed to understanding early childhood education impacts through gendered experiences. Makala holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Psychology from Boise State University.
