João Osório

João Osório has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. In their most recent position at DueDil (now FullCircl), they worked as an Engineering Manager, leading the growth and implementation of key qualities of the pre-existing ETL system core. João also implemented ETL pipelines and analyzed and refactored key components to overcome limitations. Prior to that, at Truphone, they served as a Senior Software Engineer and later as a Big Data Team Lead. In these roles, they successfully replaced an expensive monitoring and analytics solution with a cost-effective open-source solution, trained colleagues in Scala and ETL pipeline development, and implemented improvements to a provisioning system. João Osório's earlier work experience includes roles as a Software Engineer at Altice Labs, where they contributed to various initiatives such as full build automation, unit testing adoption, and automatic static analysis. João also improved existing products by implementing load distribution and failover mechanisms and developed a multi-vendor JMX contents discovery module. Additionally, João Osório worked part-time as a Software Developer at Wit-Software while studying at the University of Coimbra, where they developed a back-office web page for document management and worked on SMS services and data migration projects.

João Osório completed their education with a Licenciatura (5-year degree) in Informatics Engineering from Universidade de Coimbra, spanning from 2000 to 2006. João then pursued a Master's degree in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, which they obtained between 2010 and 2012.
